We're heard all the hype. Now what's the real story?
We Are Listening…

Of course, the costs involved in setting up a new business are always vital to a new business owner. The costs involved in a Web business are probably fewer than in many brick and mortar businesses.

All work is custom and accomplish in-house which keeps prices minimal at an hourly rates of a very low $50, which has not been raised in ten years.

As it is impossible to quote a finished web site when all the work is custom,  based on number of hours, and I have never had a client who had any idea of what they wanted so quoting an unknown is truly impossible, my first question to a client is "Do you have a budget set aside for your web project?

Owning a business on the Internet really does not even require you to have a computer. The web developer should be able to provide the physical web site, which includes all of the site files for text and graphics. If your site requires a programmer and/or a database, your web developer should either have an in–house programmer or be able to sub–contract the services of a competent, reliable programmer. If your site will be an E–Commerce site, the programs necessary to create the shopping cart portion of your site will also be provided.

I take pride in using only shopping cart software which allows us to create a customized shopping cart to meet our high–quality visual and functional requirements. We reject software which produces a “cookie-cutter” or “wizard” look.  We recommend a particular host who will install the files for your shopping cart on your site. The site host becomes your “landlord,” so to speak, and you will be paying “rent” directly to them. We have no financial arrangement with the host we prefer to use, but we do highly recommend them for the years of excellent service they have given us and our clients and the support and services they provide for us and for you. If you have your own

host who supports our programming needs, the choice, of host is, of course, up to you. Also, your Internet Service Provider (ISP) provides your E-mail service and your Internet access service, but we will be happy to set up the E-mail forwarding for mail directed to your web site.

As part of our initial services to you, we optimize each page of a web site to be “search engine friendly” to help you achieve the highest possible rank in the search engines and directories. However, there are additional fees involved if you wish us to take extraordinary steps for extensive SEO (Search Engine Optimizing) beyond the usual, knowledgeable steps which a qualified professional web developer would take. If your business is highly–competitive for certain “keywords,” it may be very difficult to push your ranking (placement) to the top of the search engines and directories without employing additional, expert services. We certainly will be able to advise you.

Other services which we are able to supply would be on–going site maintenance, promotion, order management and harvesting, newsletters, distance learning programming and management, and any number of options which may be associated with your Web business. In addition, we are Desktop Publishers so we are able to handle business cards, postcards, brochures, fliers, newsletters, and other materials which are printed to media other than the Internet.

Each site we create is unique and created only to meet your individualized needs. We never use templates of any kind and all graphics are original. We don't use cheap clipart images on our sites. Our charges are based on the time we estimate it will take for us to create and deliver your site for you. Many people ask us to quote prices when they have no idea of what they want. To ask such a question is like asking a building contractor what they will charge to build a home. Of course, there are hundreds of choices involved and a person needs to have an idea of what they want and be prepared to discuss it with us at length before we can determine what the costs may be. We do have several different plans we can offer and web sites can be engineered to match almost any reasonable budget so that they can grow as the budget grows.   We will be happy to make an appointment with you to discuss your needs and, once we have agreed on the needs, we will have a better idea of the costs involved.

Because the Internet has made the world smaller and more intimate, developers and clients who are great distances apart can “telecommute” on major web sites using e-mail, fax, telephone, mail, FTP, and the Web, itself.  As we develop a site, we maintain it on the Web during the construction process so that clients may observe, proof, and make changes or requests along the way.

Whether you wish to start out with a minimal site to match a modest budget and allow us to grow it as your budget permits, or you are ready for us to create an extensive E–Commerce site, we can offer you the best service with the highest degree of quality, honesty, and integrity at fair prices and with the highest degree of support. Unlike the contractor who may construct your brick and mortar building and turn the keys over to you and leave, your web developer may be there for the life of your business as an advisor, a friend, an educator, a resource, a support system, and unofficial partner in your success. Choose wisely in the present and your dividends will continue far into the future...
